July BBQ

On Saturday, July 26, 2014, the Haldimand-Norfolk EDA had its Barbecue in Dunnville, at the home of Agnes and Leonard Wolters. –It was a beautiful day, relaxing and peaceful. We all enjoyed the wonderful flower garden as we arrived. When we settled in at the back porch, we were facing a very nice back yard grass reaching out to us with tempting games. It was great to be in good company, playing lawn games, rounding up: munchies, tempting cookies and refreshments. We discussed how things were, the signs of the times, the CHP, and our place in the scheme of things.

After we ate our BBQ, we sat around singing some traditional hymns. The songs warmed our hearts towards the goodness of the Creator and our neighbours, and all those who were invited to rejoice with us. It was a good afternoon, well spent.

Next year we should meet again. Hope in 2015 to see more young people and everyone excited about the CHP readiness to share our Christian ideals and vision with the people in the 2015 Federal General Election, by our Haldimand-Norfolk election team.

Jim Enos, currently serving as the Ontario President of CHP Canada, presented on the topic, 'The Delusion of Equity', a challenging presentation you should not miss.

Considerations: What is the true meaning of Equity?  Is Equity a Godly precept?  Is Equity the same as Equality?  What are the implications of Kathleen Wynne's concept of Equity?
